Here's me & my mom & dad (that's me in the back...Mom's looking disturbingly youthful here! :D ) paddling on the Manistee River in Michigan. This is one of my favorite family vacation destinations. The aunt & uncle I refer to as "Auntie K and Canoe-Buildin' Uncle" share a lovely little cabin up here with some old friends of there - it's awesome, no TV, no telephone, just a cabin, a river, a lot of things that float (including this wonderful ol' clunker of a canoe, of which my uncle says "I bought it 25 years ago for a hundred bucks. I think I got ripped off").

My dad is actually a little disturbed by this picture as my mom & I have succesfully "crossed his T". In naval battles - and Dad's a retired captain - this is not something you allow to happen - see, if Mom & I had cannons, we could now be giving Dad a major beating which he'd only be able to reply to with one or two bow cannons. Heh heh heh.

Like I always say - dang I got lucky in the big "Who's Your Family" lottery...
